As a testament to his involvement in the welfare of his community and helping those in need, during the Afghan refugee crisis of the 1980s and 1990s, Khan worked with multiple Multinational NGOs such as ICRC, Management Sciences for Health USA, Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, IRC, Save The Children Fund, German Afghan Aid, MRCA and many others. These endeavors were crucial to the health and safety of the Afghan refugees situated in the region.
